COMMUNITY INSPIRED

About us

Countryside Studio & Gym is located in Hamiota, MB. We are a small town with a strong community. From sport events to school plays, everything is run and operated by people in town who come together to make it happen. A business simply cannot run without the support of their community. There is a part for everyone, which creates a ripple effect and together can make big waves of change. This is why we believe that being a part of a community gives us purpose, holds us accountable and keeps us inspired. As we keep those same values in mind, we hope that Countryside Studio & Gym will give you that sense of community.

Our goal is to support you in any way we can to reach your aspirations. Whether that is having gym equipment to help you reach your fitness goals, classes that fit your schedule, or simply feeling welcomed, we hope to be there for you.

WHO WE ARE

KAYCELYN ROSALES-KNIGHT - YOGA AND FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, PERSONAL TRAINER, AND OWNER

Kaycelyn Rosales-Knight is originally from Toronto, ON. She took her first yoga class in September 2008 and never looked back. She instantly knew this was the path she wanted to take. Kayce quit her job, packed her bags and headed for India for the Moksha teacher training. She has travelled the world learning and teaching yoga. While on her travels she met her now husband, Jeff and moved it Hamiota in 2013. When she is not on her mat, you can find her crafting, painting, travelling and trying to balance life as a mama of 3.

CHARLENE COLLI- YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Health and fitness have always been a big part of Charlene’s life. She was reading food labels for nutritional information in the 1980s before it became fashionable to do so. Weight and cardio training was a regular part of her regime for about 25 years.

In the early 2000s, Charlene dabbled in yoga and enjoyed it. It wasn’t until she received a diagnosis of a chronic autoimmune illness that left her unable to work at her office job, that she seriously engaged in a yoga practice. Charlene found restorative and gentle Iyengar-style yoga and Yoga Nidra to help her manage chronic pain, anxiety, and chronic fatigue.

”Balancing my energy is a daily focus of which I remain mindful. Along with asana (poses) practice, I have a meditation and devotional (prayer) practice. I believe our bodies have been gifted to us to guide and teach us throughout our Earth experience. Today, I view the autoimmune illness as a blessing, transforming my life and requiring me to acknowledge, listen, and respond to my body’s needs(physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual).”

Charlene is a certified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher through Passage Studio in Calgary. She is a trained Reiki II practitioner and Flower Essence Therapy practitioner through Flower Essence Society in Nevada City, California.
